Dr. Chinatu Ego-Osuala earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2011, where he participated in the prosthodontic honors program and graduated with a distinction award in restorative dentistry. During his time in dental school, he was elected the social/activities chair for his class and he also volunteered his time to the community by participating in several outreach programs such as The Oral Cancer Walk, ‘Lesson in a Lunch Box’ program, Give Kids a Smile program, and in the Special Olympics. As a result of this, Dr. Ego-Osuala received an outstanding service award by the community dentistry division at Howard University.
Following dental school, Dr. Ego-Osuala completed a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) program at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn NY, where he honed his skills by performing numerous procedures on both children and adults.
After completing his residency, he worked in private practice in New Jersey for several years. During this time, he expanded his knowledge base and skills by completing a one-year Full Mouth Reconstruction Course with focus on Aesthetics and Occlusion Rehabilitation at New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry Linhart Continuing Education Program. Because of his outstanding performance in this program, he garnished the respect of the faculty, colleagues, and patients.
Dr. Ego-Osuala maintains professional memberships with the American Dental Association (ADA), Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA), and Southern Maryland Dental Society (SMDS).
Dr. Ego-Osuala and his beautiful wife Islamiat were married in 2012 and they have a darling little girl. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and staying physically active by playing soccer, basketball, running and weight training.
